ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
I started this because I remember what it felt like to find my voice.
Deepika Sujay is a California state champion in impromptu speaking, national quarterfinalist in extemporaneous speaking, and NIETOC semifinalist. She's competed in over forty tournaments in the past few years, including invitationals hosted by Harvard, Stanford, and Berkeley. She founded The Speak Sphere because she knows firsthand what it takes to compete, and what it feels like to find your voice.
Her Philosophy
Finding your voice doesn't always mean competing, it means raising your hand in class without hesitation or sharing your perspective with peers and actually being heard. Speaking up in a group project, in an interview, or a conversation that matters to you. The sessions are activity-based, interactive, and built around the student. She has had kids walk in skeptical and leave excited to come back. Because a student feels confident when they feel heard and realize their voice matters in everyday life, not just on a stage .
